About these dates
The countdown runs to the average last spring frost and first fall frost for your nearest official station, the fiftieth-percentile dates a thirty-year record settles on. A given year can frost a week or two on either side, so treat the final fortnight as a watch window rather than a guarantee, and keep an eye on the nightly forecast as the date nears.
