- 1
Pick the patch · Carrying Place
Campbell's Orchard
Pick-your-own across two dozen apple and pear varieties, plus corn mazes, wagon rides out to the pumpkin patch, and a country store stocked with local cheese, curds, preserves, and cider.
- 2
A bit of history
Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial
A soldier's silhouette stands before two granite maple leaves, the black one etched with the names of the 158 Canadians killed in Afghanistan. It sits beside CFB Trenton where the Highway of Heroes begins.
- 3
Shop and refuel · Belleville
Belleville Farmers' Market
Held in Market Square behind City Hall, where growers and producers bring vegetables, cut flowers, honey, maple syrup, meats, and a long run of pickles and preserves, alongside handmade crafts and ready-to-eat food.
- 4
Walk it off
North Beach Provincial Park
A long sandbar with over a kilometre of beach facing open Lake Ontario on one side and a sheltered, shallower bay on the other. Quieter than nearby Sandbanks, so parking holds up on busy days.
