Hudson’s Sweet Corn/Panmure Farm
A sixth-generation family farm whose name is built on sweet corn picked fresh each morning, never held over. The home stand also carries in-season vegetables and fall squash and pumpkins.

Blakeney Rapids
A stretch of the Mississippi River where the water breaks over rock into a wide run of rapids, crossed by small volunteer-built footbridges. A short flat trail loops it, good for a swim, a paddle, or watching birds.

A bit of history
Almonte Cenotaph
A bronze volunteer soldier on a limestone plinth, sculpted by R. Tait McKenzie and ringed by the names of Almonte's war dead. It was requested in a 1916 letter by a local lieutenant who died at the Somme before it was built.

Shop and refuel · Carp
Carp Farmers' Market
One of the larger producer-based markets in eastern Ontario, with dozens of farm and craft vendors, live music, and a food court. An interactive map points you to each grower, so it works as a browse rather than a quick errand.
Before you go
- Confirm each stop’s hours before you leave. Seasons and weekends change what is open.
- Bring cash for the farm stands and the market.
- Wear shoes for a field and a short walk, and check the forecast.
